HARBOUR TOWN GOLF LINKS RESTORATION

11 Lighthouse Ln
Hilton Head Island, SC

Harbour Town Golf Links Reopening Novemeber 2025!

Please note that Harbour Town Golf Links is currently closed for restoration through November 10, 2025 (date subject to change). Tee times for the reopening are now available.

Serving as the player consultant for the restoration will be five-time RBC Heritage winner Davis Love III and his company Love Golf Design, who were also responsible for the Atlantic Dunes course at The Sea Pines Resort. Harbour Town will reopen on November 10, 2025 (date is subject to change).

Originally designed by Dye with his wife Alice and the assistance of Jack Nicklaus—working on one of his first architectural projects—Harbour Town opened in 1969 and has hosted the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing ever since. The tournament has produced one of the game’s most impressive list of winners, from Arnold Palmer in the inaugural event to Nicklaus, Johnny Miller (twice), and Tom Watson (twice) in the early days to Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Jordan Spieth, and Scottie Scheffler more recently.

The restoration will ensure championship-level conditions for both PGA TOUR players and guests of The Sea Pines Resort while preserving classic shot values and design. The restoration will thoughtfully consider Dye’s famous design but will make improvements to agronomy and maintenance of the course, rebuilding all greens, bunkers and bulkheads. The different turfs currently in use—TifEagle on the greens; Celebration Bermuda on the fairways, tees and rough—will remain the same. Work has already begun by replacing railroad ties on some of the bulkheads.
